So so fun! I loved the plot and the two MCs were both loveable. As close to a contemporary romance as I'll get and I totally enjoyed it 🖤

Still a good entry in the series, but JLA can tend to get repetitive and lost in characters inner worlds and thoughts. I felt that in the middle and definitely at the end of the book. Didn't really end on a strong cliffhanger - I know there's unfinished politics, but it wasn't focused on at the end here and I wish it were.
Otherwise, I enjoyed it and bawled when the final quarter of the book started.

Loved it - gives me plated prisoner vibes a lil. Only critique is that I wish it were dual POV and I don't understand why Nyktos can't get his kardia back?

Love it, this is romantasy at its best. Sera is broken and strong and so good, and Nyktos is so sweet. Love the main political plotlines and baby drakken.

Things I liked: underlying plot, idea of this world
Things I didn't like: characters felt one dimensional, I couldn't get invested in them, names and characters were thrown out too quickly and got confusing (probably a me problem), and it felt really YA. Love YA usually but this felt really flat and I was disappointed.

I loved the premise and the main plotline. However, the beginning was way too slow for me and too punctuated with drawn out references to movies, stars, and locations that, while interesting, made it hard to feel invested - it kind of felt indulgent.
The Bewitching by Silvia Moreno-Garcia
Another amazing read from Moreno-Garcia. The characters and timelines are each riveting (a hard thing to do - often one timeline in these types of novels is lacking) and though the reveals weren't shocking, the slow building dread was so well done.
The New England and Mexican witchcraft was so interesting and I loved how Alba and Minerva's stories overlapped and yet were so different.

Absolutely loved it. Love the multi POV, love the characters and their family.
Not quite a 5 star due tosome rushed storytelling - Eliza's twin flame mark and Callan's last few chapters felt super rushed. Also lots of convenient last second solutions so that no one central died.
