Are you a hater of Brothers best friend, childhood friends-lover, second chance with a then and now time line? Because I do and yet... This is one of my TOP romance books ever!
I love the narrators, the story and families THE TWIST with no third act breakup (kinda).

Winter wonderland vibes
Snowed in together (screams in mich)
Jewish author/ voices
Chronic illness rep
For the Gilmore girlys and swifties
She falls first, he falls HARDER and waits! The letters?! The snow globes (I'm sobbing 🥹)

This was the perfect set up for the the next two books and I loved listening to these characters and then... the ending happened and I literally wanted to scream and throw my headphones away... Dramatic yes but so real
Anyways... I'll start the next books soon.

This novella did what I needed it to do to convince me to read the Cocky Kingsman series.
It was fast-pace, steamy and funny. Also I'm a sucker for a snow storm.

My only issue with this novel is the use of the term "Heroin Chic". Maybe it's just me however there are other ways to talk about the issue of plus models "not being trendy" and criticize straight size models and how they are used and abusive just as plus size models are.

This story was so much more than "a rugby romance". If you're looking for a tough stuff young adult story, this is it. There is a love story but it's very much B-plot.
Shannon and Johnny do not have a happy ending at the end of this book.

Heavy Triggers for:
Child abuse
Abusive family dynamics
eating disorders
Abandonment
Bullying
Social pressure
Anxiety
Alcoholism

Please read with care and caution.

After years of bullying Shannon Lynch is finally getting a new start at Tommen High School. She'll be with friends she hasn't seen in years and it gives her a few hours day away from her abusive home life. Everything is going great her first day. That is until and unportioned accident on the rugby field and throws her in the path of Tommens golden boy.

Johnny Kavaugh is a rugby god to his peers but is hiding a secret that could lead to the end of his career before it's even began. He's injured, badly. After an outburst on the field he's crosses paths with Shannon, like the river, and he's completely gone for.

If you haven't read the Brightfalls series and you're thinking about it- Do it! They are the perfect balance of sugar and spice, full queer cast of ALL age ranges and I loved every book/audiobook.

Iris Kelly Doesn't date is book three and the last book in the series.
Everyone around Iris is in love. Coupled up, happily married with kids. She's happy for them however that's never the life she's envisioned for herself. She's perfectly find to stay single, only problem is she's a romance author with no romance in her life to inspire her. With a second deadline approaching she's stressed more than ever and goes looking what she knows will life her spirts, a one night stand.

Stevie is hopeless romantic who is heartbroken after breaking up with her long-term partner who is now dating a mutual best-friend. Tried of sulking she decides to go out and try something she's never done before , a one night stand.

One horrible meet-disaster and a few lies later Stevie and Iris agree to help each other but swapping what they know best.

I have so many questions, look at my reading journal for all my thoughts on how stupid these two characters are together.
Maybe this book  just wasn't for me  but.. whoa I hated Adam... wait was his name Adam? Or was it something else.
