The audiobook was phenomenal, it was a true production and I would love Katrina to narrate book two (Devil in the Dark, Releasing March 1st)
Check all trigger warnings before reading, seeing as this is a dark romance it features dark/mature content. All of which can be found there

I did listen to the audiobook for this title so thank you to the publisher and producers for and early audio arc!
If you're in a slump or just looking to add another queer title to you TBR This one should definitely be on your radar!
You follow Cassie a senior in college just looking for a fun distraction at her local bar. She spots Erin, an older women who seems mature and ways to hot for Cassie. After a fun one night hook up they think they'll never see each other again but what they don't know is they have someone who connects them in a hilarious way.
It was spicy, if was funny. I cried and related to Cassie in so many ways with her family, her self-image and impostor syndrome. Erin is really the embodiment of Bad bitches have bad days but they're still intelligence, hot, funny and caring- Even with a "good intentions but poor execution"
P.s. There's a shower scene <3
P.s. There's car scene
P.P.p.s There's a strap on scene

However the addition of magic and history and plot twists were too many and muddled the story. Too many lines that kind of lead nowhere.
I loved the sapphic, black romances and our main character staying true to herself and her people- Sophia is a strong lead and I wish I could read more about her and her love interest after the story was over.
Kalynn is such an amazing author and building a world or a scene I'm excited for her other works. She's so good at writing gore and haunting moments!
