My Lovesick Life as a 90's Otaku is a slice of life manga that follows an adult Megumi Sato recounting her teenage years growing up as an otaku (a person who deeply enjoys nerdy activities like manga, anime, and video games.) She struggles on whether she should hide her interests from her peers to get social validation or to embrace what she loves.

This manga has funny moments and a compelling side story with her pen pal. Overall the manga has room to be interesting in later volumes, but her naiveté can sometimes be both very realistic and yet very annoying.

He's Expecting by Eri Sakai is a manga set in an alternate universe where men are capable of getting pregnant. The story is episodic with each chapter following a different character in this universe and how they are navigating the social pressures of pregnancy, marriage, and discussions of abortion in a fast-paced, but light hearted way.

The highlight of the manga is the depiction of men having to live with the struggles that come with pregnancy and how being pregnant changes them as people. The women's perspectives are also just as important in this manga because they are also changing their perspective on what pregnancy means to them now that men are also capable of it. I do wish the manga discussed more of the scientific aspects of male pregnancy, but overall very enjoyable read.

How I Met My Soulmate by Anashin is an adorable manga that follows the university-aged protagonist Yuuki Honda who is exploring the dating scene by venturing to clubs and mixers. Yuuki meets 3 possible love interests throughout the manga each fulfilling a romantic wish for her. There are surprising secrets from the past that are revealed that make the reader question; which man is right for Yuuki?

The character progression in this manga is well done spanning over the entire work with each character getting aspects of their personality and past revealed in a thoughtful way. The art work for this manga is adorable and it is refreshing to read a story with a point of view from a college-aged cast. The exposition begins slowly, but the ending will leave you ready to read the next volume.
