You know what? Hell yeah. This was such a fun read.

It's not doing anything new for the Fae Romantasy genre but it was well written and had an engaging plot. (Even if it was predictable.) I'm interested to see where she takes this story.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 43%.
I may come back to this at another time. The writing and storytelling are quite beautiful. It's a slow build and has elements that remind me of Addie LaRue.

I just find myself a little bored at the moment.

Everything was slick. Everything.

This series is just off the wall bananas but always a fun time.

Softer and kinkier than the first in the series. (Good for you, Tessa 👏🏻)

I love the lore and world that Guerre is creating here.

  • Plot- or character-driven? A mix

I liked the second installment far more than the first and I think it's due to:

1. Me having a better grasp of the flow in storytelling
2. Not as many ambiguous time jumps in this one
3. Way more focus on the characters and the journey vs the heavy world-building in the first.

Super invested in the characters and where this is going

Heather Guerre was on her shit with this one 😘🤌🏻

I loved the depictions of depression and anxiety in Grace's story.
