The Holy Bible: King James Version by Anonymous
Toxic fandom, poor editing, lousy plot and i just don’t think there was a need for author changes.
Aurora's Angel by Emily Noon
I had such high hopes for this book that when i started reading i questioned whether or not I’d gotten the right one because the reviews had been so high.
I couldn’t stand the dialogue it felt on par with wattpad and it’s safe to say my middle school fanfic days are long gone, Evie felt whiny and Aurora had absolutely no character whatsoever. I thought it may just be me so i tried listening to the audio book and I just cringed more.
It may be for some people but it just wasn’t my cup of tea, and I begrudgingly DNF’d at 11%.

I watched to movie first and loved it, I thought there was no way i could like the book more than the movie but boy was I wrong.
I found this book at 13 and have been attached to it ever since, it was the first I annotated and I don’t think i was ever the same after. It was an honest coming of age story following a freshman called Charlie, who let’s face it, has been through some shit.
He is infuriating, whilst endearing and he feels like that little brother who you just want to give a hug and promise him everything is going to be ok. But you also want to hit him over the head for being a moron teenage boy (if you know you know).
This is a book I come back to over and over again, and I believe is definitely worth the read.

I genuinely have no words to describe my love for this book, i finished it in like two and a half days. Like holy shit man. the last few chapters i was all over the place, one minute i was bawling my eyes out, the next i was grinning ear to ear and then i was back to being a blubbering mess of human being.
The book hang over is real with this one, i’m honestly not ready to let go of the characters and i don’t think i could have if i wanted to.
And while this book IS incredible it isn’t without its problems, Dugan’s character just wasn’t one i found myself able to connect with and ended up just skipping his chapters after a while because his storyline didn’t really connect with echo and genevieve’s until the end, and i was honestly just so in love with those two i couldn’t bare waiting.
The drug thing kinda felt out of place at first and i know it makes sense later on but i think there could have been other ways to work that part.
But anyway i’m heading over to ao3 because i am in desperate need of more echo and gen to ease this hangover the ending has given me and try to heal the whiplash i’ve just suffered.
Zoe Reed you are undoubtedly one of my favourite authors.
