Things are (quite literally) heating up in this 8th book of the series. Count Olaf and his associates are still hot on their trails, the stakes are higher, the mystery is still unsolved, and the siblings are turning into wanted criminals that resemble the villains themselves. And through it all, they're still growing children who suffer so much. This series is unbelievably well written.
