There is a depth to this novella that pulls you into the abyss of darkness, desire and destruction.

Zalea feels like she is a burden upon the world, more so her Aunt who physically and mentally abuses her. Seeking solace in her job and college, nothing helps the darkness that threatens to engulf her.

He comes for her surrounded in shadows and sulphur, he leaves her roses, black as his soul. She is his obsession, his light in the denseness, will there be a point the two will coalesce?

The descriptive writing really does make you feel a part of this novella. It is a gothic read, deep and dark, I am sure some will relate to. I would have read in one sitting but it seemed my light needed attention 🀣
