I feel genuinely bad giving this book such a low rating because the writing, itself was not bad.
I went into this wanting a spooky, Mexican, haunted house read for October and what I got was a lot of creepy, incest, rapey men with a side of haunted house.

The overall plot was interesting and the writing was well done. I just did not vibe with cult and sexual assault vibes.
