This is my 4th read. I love this series, but this is the first read that's made me angry. But it's been about 10 years since my last read and the world has changed and I've changed.

I'm angry at the system. But I'm specifically angry at every man in this book who wants a single goddamn thing from this teen girl who's only ever wanted to live in peace. President Snow can fuck right off, but so can Peeta, Gale, and Haymitch. Especially Peeta and Gale. This CHILD is now responsible for the survival of a nation and these two chucklefucks force her into the emotional labor of babysitting their feelings on top of that. Fuck them both right into the sun.

At the end of the day, this is a series about male fragility, and the women who pick up the pieces when the men break to the deep detriment of their own quality of life.
