After endless construction, resources, and non-disclosure agreements, Bonnie is ready to live out the rest of her life secluded in this highly orchestrated world—not pretending to be characters from her favorite show, but actually *being* the characters from her favorite show. Then one day she is confronted with something from her life before, and it’s something she cannot escape.

On its surface, this book is wild and absurd and darkly funny. But at its core it’s an exploration of trauma, dissociation, and the things we do to escape. I will be processing this one for a while.
