Well written, dark and twisting. I do wonder if the book would be shorter if characters left less mystery and got to the point sooner, there was a lot of "you'll see" in the dialogue. Still, it was an interesting character study in revenge, morality and class-tinged entitlement. Also loved the brief descriptions of Edinburgh which conjured up the city so well.
