The plot was very predictable and honestly the MMC was a jerk and I had no love for him which kind of ruined the book for me. I normally read dark romances so I usually love it when the MMC is an ass but in this case it, he was just immature and borderline emotionally manipulative and just made the FMC weak by the end of the book. The reverse is true for the dark romances I usually read and there's trigger warnings! This book also low-key gave me like a Republican Vibe so I really just didn't enjoy it too much. All that being said, the small town vibe of the book was great!
