Death is My BFF by Katarina E. Tonks

funny

5.0

The first time I read DEATH IS MY BFF, I was hooked. This time, the second time, I’m falling into the obsessed category. I see the story as I read, and this is one of the most visually appealing reads about Death as a being, and I love it. It also has a smart storyline that brings something new to the Death wants my soul idea, and I can’t wait for the next book!

Death and Faith have the best relationship/non-relationship/friendship/enemies/frenemies/whatever you want to call them. Their snark is at level 1000, and it is so good. Katarina E. Tonks is brilliant at writing the unexpected comeback.

I read a lot of fantasy, and there are many stories about souls, the afterlife, death in general, and Death as a being. DEATH IS MY BFF is unique. I like that it has its own personal twists that I wish I could talk about, but, you know, spoilers.

I’ve read it twice now and definitely recommend it. It’s unexpected and witty, and I laughed out loud a lot!
