Something in the Walls by Daisy Pearce
3.5
This is one of the first horror(ish) novels I've read and I really enjoyed myself! The narrator, Ana Clements, was truly excellent. She brought all of the characters to life spectacularly, but especially Mina, our protagonist, and Bert. Her voice for Mina is so perfect; it's clear why she was cast.
I thought the witchy aspects were great: creepy and horrifying. I really liked all of the horror elements. Unfortunately, the ending just fell a little short for me. It was too open-ended for my tastes. Other than that, though, I really enjoyed this book.
Something in the Walls by Daisy Pearce comes out February 25, 2025.
