✒️ BOOK REVIEW 📖
The Last Housewife - Ashley Winstead

"there’s no such thing as an objective observer. That’s why stories are powerful. If you’re listening, you’re part of it."

Sometimes you start a book, & you know in your heart it's going to be a 5⭐️. This book was one of those for me. The writing was beautiful & painful. I love the conflicted emotions of Shay throughout the entire novel. This is absolutely one of my favorites for the year, kept me interested from the very first page.

Chapter 19 absolutely ripped my heart out. 😢 This is a very triggering book including DV, SA, cults, & more. This wasn't a deal breaker for me but the content warnings on this one are real. I didn't feel like Ashley went into a ton of unnecessary detail in terms of the violence.
