Before we go any further with this review I need to make this very clear, This book is VERY DARK AND TRIGGERING!!! so before reading it please, PLEASE look at the triggers and proceed with caution!

The Risk by S.T. Abby is the first book in the Mindf*ck series and follows Lana Myers, who seems like a normal woman but in reality, she’s a serial killer, and if that’s not complicated enough she has also fallen in love with the FBI agent- Logan Bennet- who is the agent on her case.

Where has this book been all my life?! I can’t believe this book has been out since 2016 and I’m just now reading it! I absolutely devoured it and I enjoyed every minute of reading this book.
I am amazed at how much S.T. Abby is able to fit in, in such a short book and how she was able to get me addicted and obsessed with this series in just a matter of pages (Who am I kidding, I was obsessed with it after reading the synopsis). The writing in this book just makes it impossible to not become obsessed with the story, characters, and romance.
This book was able to successfully combine two of my favorite things criminology/serial killers and steamy romance and now I want so much more.
Not only does this book have an incredibly cute romance happening, but it also has a well-thought-out and developed plot and you can truly tell that the author knows what she talking about. If you are someone who loves romance in their books but still wants a well-done and addictive plot, then this is the book for you because it's got that

If you are the lover of Criminal Minds and/or Beauty and the Beast (CW TV Show) (It gives me the same vibes as that TV show, I mean.. you know, if it was for an older audience and Vincent was actually killing the people) then this might be the book for you.
