This book wasn’t really what I was expecting but I still liked it. It took me forever to decide how much I liked this book after reading it. At first I didn’t like it much, but I started to appreciate it a few days after I finished it.
I think the main reason why I didn’t like it was because I heard from other readers that this book was extremely gruesome and gross, so I went into the book expecting it. Don’t get me wrong, cannibalism is absolutely disgusting and a crazy thought, but it wasn’t a super gory description. But after looking past that, I did like the book.
It’s pretty different from what I usually read. These extremely gross and taboo subjects were talked about so normally, it was interesting to get a different perspective.
I didn’t really connect with the characters so the book didn’t really stick with me much afterwards but it was still an enjoyable read.
