Sophie's Choice by William Styron

4.0

This book took me many tries to get through. However, once I finally got into it, I found it quite brilliant. While I did find Sophie to be on the unbelievable side, I think this makes sense since the POV of the narrator is one of desire toward Sophie; perhaps building her into something she wasn't in reality. The relationship between the three main characters and how those relationships were used to tell the story of Sophie's past was really brilliant.
