Challenge Accepted!: 253 Steps to Becoming an Anti-It Girl by Celeste Barber

emotional funny hopeful inspiring reflective medium-paced

5.0

I adored this audio book. For one it is read by Celeste herself, and when reading a autobiography who else better to narrate then the person themselves.

To true Celeste charm this book is raw, funny, unapologetic and fabulous. It makes you think about the world and how it treats people, and how I want to be seen/respected and how I should do the same to others. It’s not preachy, it’s not a lecture, it’s a truth, a mum “sit down and let’s have a real chat” kind of discovery. But less embarrassing and cliche.

I laughed out loud multiple times, cried a couple of times and felt my heart strings tug hard (no pun intended) when she was discussing her heart surgery. (My daughter had a similar surgery and it brought back all the memories).

This is a truely uplifting, inspirational, make me feel happy to be human book. Go, go read/listen to it now! Go on! Go!
