This book was going really well from the beginning to middle part of the book. However the mmc thinks the world revolves around him and is so insecure that everybody does something to hurt him. In the beginning I felt so much sympathy for him and was like the fmc just doesn’t get how he’s feeling he should communicate why he acts the way he does around his parents. Just to find out that for that he just thinks the world revolves around him and is an insecure little sh*t. I also wanted groveling because whatever the f*ck occurred in the last couple of chapters was not that. I don’t know who told Ana Huang and Nadia Lee that the mmc singing at the very end ness of the book makes up for the very messed up things they did. Overall the beginning of the book was good but I like the tropes but it’s definitely not for everybody. The end of the book (so basically the third act breakup and after) ruined the book did me and was very cringy and showed me that the mmc is a jerk who will 100% continue to be a jerk in their relationship and make everything her fault. Also at one point they’re in a car where he’s being irrationally and wrongfully enraged at the fmc and he thinks,
“It’s all I can do to hold on to the steering wheel so I don’t strangle her.”
