Picked up this book for a break considering that I make a habit of reading very anguishing, high-stakes fantasy and OMG was I delighted! I’m not the pickiest reviewer yet I don’t often rate things 5 stars, but this was warranted. This book is rich in characters, world, and just pure heart. Every character is uniquely themselves and we learn to love them all… well maybe not Edward as he’s meant to represent an attitude that’s antiquated and exclusive. The themes are clear and beautifully explored. If found family, magic, love, and a bit of well-constructed romance is up your alley please consider reading this beautiful masterpiece by Sangu Mandanna. Gonna be getting the physical copy (read on library app) because I KNOW I’ll be rereading this for years to come
