Burn for Jack by Aiden Pierce

dark fast-paced

3.0

“Who did this to you? Who touched what’s mine?”
“Forever mine, forevermore, through dust and darkest ash.”

Short (93 pages) Halloween monster novella.

The first part of the story focuses on the FMC and her experiences with bullying. I found this part to be a bit slow. The story picks up after the MMC, Jack, is introduced. I personally would have preferred less focus on the bullying and more on the FMC and MMC, their dynamic, and relationship development. The ending felt a bit rushed.

Jack seemed like an interesting character, and I would have liked to learn more about him.
