The Reluctant Warrior by Mary Connealy

5.0

This is another that reminds me so much of Louis L'Amour, yet with a Gibbs slap added in.
Cameron quickly endeared himself to my heart. Gwen, although at first may have seemed his opposite, was eventually shown to be more than that.

I enjoyed how it picked up where the previous book left off and incorporated the dangers from before. While this may not have risen above my love for the first book, it did make for such an enjoyable read that I know it will be read again and again.

Mary Connealy has a way to letting the romance between two people grow steadily and more naturally than most would show it. It was a beautiful thing to watch as I read. And the interactions between the Cameron and the other men were quite good and authentic.

This book was such a joy to read!
