This graphic novel was absolutely stunning to look at and was simply a gorgeous tapestry of stories. Told through a mix of fairytales, flashes of the past, and a portrait of the present, we watch Tiên struggle to come up with the right words to tell his parents he is gay. It’s an immigration story, a coming of age story, and a study in how fairytales evolve to help us make sense of our cultures and contexts. Love love love love!
