Bit of a Blur: The Autobiography by Alex James
informative
lighthearted
fast-paced
4.0
I liked this but not as much as Alex’s bandmate Graham Coxon’s book. I listened to an abridged version and I wonder if the unabridged version would have been more fulfilling.
It seemed to be a random collection of events from Alex’s life without much of an ongoing thread throughout, and a lot of name dropping. However I did enjoy it and I always like to listen to autobiographies read by the person they’re about as it feels more personal.
One thing I particularly loved was any time Alex spoke about astronomy, he’s not just the cheese man he’s the star man too.
