I don’t think this was the one for me ☹️

I’m gonna say I enjoyed the writing style. I loved the scavenger hunt and not knowing who set Hazel up, that was so fun!! The boat scene when they got into a storm was so good, so angsty!! I liked the spice overall.

However, for me, it didn’t have the spooky season and autumn vibe that the Pumpkin Spice Cafe had that reminded me of Gilmore Girls. This to me felt like a late summer romance. There’s nothing wrong with that but I felt it was marketed with a different tone.

Second, I didn’t like our two main characters, Hazel and Noah. Both felt a bit too whiny with the whole “just fun, obviously nothing serious”- stuff going on. It became repetitive how both always felt the need to say that it’s just fun.

There’s a Christmas themed book 3 coming out next month, and I’ll probably pass on that. I feel I’m not having the best time with them
