i can’t stand children in books but gennie was a seven year old who cussed like a sailor and honestly, she was iconic. the relationship she had with her uncle, DADDY NOAH, was fucking hilarious. ok but let’s get to the main couple who have me in a fucking chokehold. now the banter, the sexual tension, the history, and the pure sparks between noah and shay was EVERYTHING i love in a romance. the slow gradual way they formed their friendship, the way they eased each others insecurities, the way they just loved each other was *chefs kiss* perfection. noah was sweet and incredibly thoughtful and shay was such a caring and understanding person. and when noah’s possessive and bossy side came out? i was GAGGED. the mouth on that man. he was OBSESSED with her. THE LETTERS HE KEPT?! THE WAY HE NAMED HIS FARM AFTER HER??? GOOD FUCKING BYE!!!!!!! IT WAS TOO MUCH. i am in love with these characters.
i usually don't love super long romance books but i didn't mind it with this one because i fell in love with this little small town and the characters! i didn’t want this book to end! kate is definitely becoming one of my favorite romance authors.
