Ruthless Knight by A. Jade, Ashley Jade
4.0
Started the whole series for this book and I was not disappointed.
1. The fat girl trope
Thank you. I can’t find the words to express how much I wanted an overweight female character in a NA, to show that they can be sexy too, they can be desired too. And it was everything I could ask for.
Also thanks for not ruining with her gaining the weight back in the end, because if she didn’t the whole trope would be ruined.
2. Cole Covington
I don’t know what with this series and similarities to other series’s. But Cole Covington really reminded me of Dean and Knight Cole (yes they even have the same first name-last names), but I still enjoyed his character. I don’t know what’s the deal with me and the least loved child trope but I always fall for those characters, and he was not the exception.
I also rather liked how, compared to the first book, we saw Liam not as a saint, but as a flawed person, who was also mentally sick, and different sides of his personality made the series much deeper.
3.
I still can’t decide if I’m disappointed or not with them sleeping together as Sawyer was really clear about not having sex until marriage, but I guess it’s better than them eloping just to have sex.
This book felt different from usual NA, so I don’t regret my time and, probably will be coming back to it later
