The fact that this is getting nominated for All the Awards and that it was a direct recommendation from one of my bookseller friends makes me wonder if I am just not in the right headspace for this. I was really enjoying it for the first... 25% or so. But my interest has fully dropped off, I keep having to re-read things because I realize I've zoned out, and I noticed that I am now feeling dread and obligation when I pick it up, so I'm putting it down. (At least for now.)
