Nichelle (an executive) is dating Lucas (an accountant) and works at the same company as Ronnie (a Devil Wears Prada-esque VP) until the reappearance of her ex (Donovan) shakes things up. It's giving ‘90s soap opera vibes–backstabbing, romance, corporate intrigue–but with Black people! There were some minor editing errors, but this book was so damn entertaining. It ends on a cliffhanger which is kind of unforgivable since the series is still incomplete.
