This book was very different from what I was expecting and much more modern than the time period it is set in. I appreciated the strong female characters of this story, but I had a hard time liking anyone other than Miss Ellen Dean. I truly enjoyed the clever writing of Emily Brontë, and I believe this was a great introduction into her works. After thinking about it for a while, I love the ending and its peaceful contrast to the rest of the book. Overall, this was an amazing book and I’m glad I read it.
