The Midnight Library by Matt Haig
5.0
I’d been wanting to read this book for ages having seen it everywhere. I was nervous going into it as I had such high hopes but wow, this book blew my mind.
I was drawn into the concept straight away & my love for the characters grew with each turn of the page. I’ve never read a book with such short, fast chapters but I loved this style & it made me constantly want to know more.
This is the kind of book that plays on your mind when you’re trying to sleep. The kind of book you talk about to people who have no idea what you’re going on about unless they read it themselves. The story of Nora will stay with me & I only hope she worked her way back to her “happy” ending.
“Between life and death there is a library, and within that library, the shelves go on forever. Every book provides a chance to try another life you could have lived. To see how things would be if you had made other choices… Would you have done anything different, if you had the chance to undo your regrets?”
