It's short and precise, a good palate clenser, not much character arch but carmilla is still a good antagonist/villain. I enjoyed the first half a lot more because of her presence

I've seen a lot of people say it's an erotic book and I wouldn't describe it as such, it has some suggeestive bits but that's about it.
