Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy
5.0
oh. my. god.
If I could give this book all the stars in the world, I would. Everything, from the world building, to the character development, to the plot twists, and even the tragic ending, exceeded all of my expectations I had when I started this book. Tolstoy perfectly utilized the motif of trains to shape Anna’s life and her spiral to mental insanity. I wish I could read the last chapter for the first time again, it was just that good. I will be making this book my whole personality and quoting it for as long as I live.
