The only reason I read this book was because I saw it recommended on a thread on r/historicalromance where multiple people said it had the best desk banging scene in literature. I decided to conduct independent research into that claim and am here to report yep. Best I've read at least. I think that was actually the entire best part of the book. Everything else was fine, no complaints.
