This series has been on my radar for a while and I’m so glad I finally started it - I loved this book so much! It was super fast paced and action packed which made it easy to stay engaged with. The short chapters worked well and I honestly could’ve easily read this in one sitting. It was written really well too, from the characters to the action scenes - it was a great mix of exciting and emotional. Eddie might be one of my new favourite characters ever. He was morally grey and I loved that he had a bit of a shady past as a con artist. It made him a lot more interesting than other characters in these types of books. His love for his daughter was touching. He was also pretty funny at times. I was rooting for him throughout the whole book. Some of the other characters were interesting too; Harry, Jimmy and The Lizard were ones that I hope to see more of in the rest of the series. The plot was so high stakes and had my heart racing. It was basically none stop from the very first page which I loved. I enjoyed trying to work out what was going on and how Eddie was going to solve the situation. It was tense but also a lot of fun. I liked being inside the court room too and seeing the lawyers in action. Overall, I don’t have any complaints about it. It was really enjoyable and I think this series has the potential to become one of my favourites. I can’t wait to read the next one!
