A Risk Worth Taking by Jessica Joyce

5.0

Loved this Christmas novella from Jessica Joyce, whose debut novel I enjoyed really earlier this year. Has the briefest of tie ins to the novel, which was a fun return for those of us who knew. Otherwise, the story of a Claire, a part time bartender, and Connor, attendee of his office's holiday event held at the bar, is the story of a one night stand that turns into three because of an ice storm that delays her flight. She still ends up moving away despite their very obvious connection. Then we see what happens six months down the road. Their chemistry was great but their ability to talk and laugh and connect on other levels made it even more intense. Loved it!
