This book is absolutely adorable. I’d love to read this one aloud to my kids at bedtime.
The only thing I struggled with that didn’t get me to 4.5+ stars was that Lucy so heavily-handed blamed her sister for the loss of her parents’ love. For the hurtful comments of a 16 year old. As such an immersed early childhood education practitioner, I would have liked to see her more understanding of the reality that a teen does not control that power struggle. 🤷🏼♀️
Other than that, loved the book. What a beautiful plot and the ending made my heart sing.
