quite a simple book - it revolves around a lonely girl and a cat who adores her. the girl, miyu, lives her everyday life, and her cat chobi observes. chobi's descriptions were very cute to me, and it was sweet how he had his own life and hung out with other animals in the area. i thought it was sweet, and a bit sad, to read about chobi's confusion whenever miyu was feeling down. i do think the plot point where chobi is sort of in love with miyu could be seen as weird. personally though, i didn't take it that seriously, so it didn't bother me. to me, he's just a silly little cat and it's not that serious that he refers to miyu as his girlfriend. again, it was just silly to me and made me giggle. i think the writing style was appropriately simple, but good in a way that still made me emotional. the illustrations were super cute and only made my reading experience more enjoyable ^_^ ♡
