I'm a big sucker for innovative memoirs, and I thought this take of blending a life story with those of various sea creatures was really interesting and creative. And it's not just for show, I really got the feeling that the author truly relates to all of these sea creatures, and I love that. Some essays were a little more effective than others with the chosen medium, but overall this was a raw, emotional, and informative read.
