This story was good but I feel like it leaned a little too far into the melodrama in the 3rd act. But it does have one of my favorite things in romance: in the epilogue we learn that both MCs are now in therapy and actively working on their issues.
🎧 Dual POV but only one (female) narrator. Once in a while it was hard to remember whose POV we were in.
🌶️ 3.5/5 One scene that was pretty explicit but skipped the uh... ending; the rest was glossed over and most of the explicit content was them thinking about what they would like to do.
🏳️🌈✊ FMC and her whole family are Puerto Rican and have been in Chicago for a few generations. MMC is white (Irish immigrant grandparents). There are same sex couple side characters, including one who identified herself as bisexual.
