See You Yesterday by Rachel Lynn Solomon
5.0
you know when you read a book and you're just imagining it being adapted into a movie the entire time? yeah, that's me with Rachel Lynn Solomon's See You Yesterday
Barrett Bloom, who has just finished a rough few years of high school, is hoping that College will be an opportunity to start fresh. but her first day? yeah, that doesn't go so well: she didn't do the assigned readings for her class, she's embarrassed by a guy in Physics in front of everyone, and then she accidentally burns down a frat house.
luckily, she wakes up the next morning to find that she is repeating September 21st all over again. she relentlessly tries to improve her 'second' first day and eventually, Barrett discovers that the guy who humiliated her in Physics, Miles, is also trapped in the infinite 'time loop'. together, they try and figure out how to rectify the timeline and along the way, begin to develop feelings for one another.
if you are a fan of rivals to lovers, college-age romcoms, and magical realism, READ THIS BOOK!
this novel also has brilliant rep: Jewish and Japanese American main characters, and plus-size rep!
Barrett and Miles are everything. i am obsessed with them. i devoured this book in two days, it was just that good. get your hands on this delightfully creative and hilarious novel right now!!!!
