King Hall by Scarlett Dawn
5.0
*copy received through Netgalley for honest review*
4.5 stars.
I am not a huge paranormal reader - I do read it, but not in large quantaties, but I could not put King Hall down.
Yes it does have the paranormal (shifters, mages, elementals, vampires), but I felt it was more a story of friendships and the relationships forged through difficult circumastances.
The relationships with the 4 main characters, Lily, Ezra, Pearl and Jack were tangible. People who shouldn't normally be friends who become closer than they ever thought possible.
The Kings are hilarious - I lol'd many a times with thair antics, but also wanted to shake them at times.
This is Scarlett Dawn's first novel, and it is so well written would never have thought it was.
I look forward to reading more of her work.
