Appointment with Death by Agatha Christie

adventurous mysterious

3.5

Not my favorite, and not just because it's yet another story where someone named Ray is accused of being a villain. Politely requesting a singular piece of media, just one (1), where the person named Ray is a good guy. Surely we can't all be schemers and ne'er-do-wells.

The investigation and the characters are well done, but there's no satisfying underlying motive to explain the crime. There's enough motive that it works but at the end you're still left with questions, unlike most other Poirot novels. Anyway, on to the next.
