“Who knew an assassin could be so breathtaking?”
“Shower, eat, murd3r a king — in that order.”
“Oh, I remember. I remember how easily you had me on my knees for you.”

I’ve been wanting to read this book for so long, and it did not disappoint.

I really liked Ariella as a main character. She was witty, strong, and independent. She definitely didn’t need anyone to be there for her or to save her. I would love to learn more about her past.

The MMC, Caspian, remained a mystery to me, and I would have preferred more information about him and who he is as a character. The banter and tension between him and Ariella were great.

The magic system seemed unique and interesting, and I would love to learn more about it.

The storyline itself kept me hooked from the first page to the end, and I can’t wait to read more! The plot was easy to follow and had both magical and mysterious elements.

I received an ARC of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review. Receiving ARC didn’t affect my opinion of the book.
