Yep, the journey back to Sheet Cake, Texas was so worth the wait! Chevy and Val's story (from both POV), was a slow burn that wanted to take me down with the delicious tension, the almost kiss moments, and the "are we flirting now, I think we're flirting now" pining turned confusion. Then we got to the actual kisses? Perfection! Emma St. Clair's books show how you can do stories without sex and still have then be sexy! I also laughed out loud multiple times and was thrilled when there were references to the folks from the original Love Clichés series this one is a spin off from. Looking forward to the last two books in the series.
