This sequel was even better than the first book. With the original mystery already solved, the ongoing storyline flourished here. The worldbuilding, plot twists, and tension between the characters were so on point. This is the best fantasy series I’ve read since Legendborn and the first time I’ve never had a complaint about a fantasy FMC. I loved Saoirse’s duality. And Hayes must’ve went and sat on that lady’s couch in the fae world, because his communication was impeccable. The ending seemed complete, but I wouldn’t be mad if the author decided to squeeze out another installment.
