All the pop culture references and overall teenage slang MURDERED this book for me.
I feel like it was suppose to be comical that the main character was in a fairytale land where proper english is the main language, but she is speaking like a teenager straight out of current times. The wtfs, idk, holy shit, ect. just felt very overkill for me.
That being said……
The ending of this book was decent. The scene of Primrose punching the prince and a band of lesbians running down the hallways saving the day had me smiling. It was a good wrap up.
Discloser: I did LISTEN to this book instead of reading it. The way the slang was read may have had a huge part in me wanting to put my head through a wall.
