It’s only the beginning of the year and I’ve already found one of my favorites! You know the feeling when you’re at like 70% and you start getting the scaries because you’re not ready for the book to end? Yup. This book is going to do that to you. I discovered Marie M through her mafia series that completely captured my attention with its witty banter, strong af FMCs and the way each book had the perfect balance of spice, angst and drama. I had unbelievably high hopes for this book and she did not disappoint.

Ariella and Dalton were the perfect couple. I’ve actually never enjoyed an MMC and FMC so much as I did these two. Ari was strong, independent and overall fierce af! Dalton was an absolute sweetie with a heart of gold, gentleman to a TEE! From beginning to end I was in their clutches. Everything about this book was a total vibe. The character arcs, the side characters, the chapter headings, the spice, the representation — all of it!

I’m so in love with the way Marie M puts words on a page. I can’t wait to read more of her work.
